Technical Specs

Supports any file format
+
Imalytics supports a wide range of medical and research imaging file formats including DICOM, NIfTI, Analyze, TIFF stacks, and raw binary files—allowing researchers to plug in their data directly without needing custom conversion tools.
Works on any system
+
Whether your data comes from Bruker, MILabs, Inviscan, Mediso, Siemens, or other imaging systems, Imalytics is compatible across vendors. We've built our platform to integrate seamlessly with your lab's existing equipment and data workflows.
Many Modalities Supported
+
Designed to handle the complexity of hybrid imaging, Imalytics supports simultaneous analysis of PET/CT, SPECT/MRI, optical/CT, and more. Our tools allow for seamless co-registration, visualization, and quantification across modalities.
Gff File Format
+
Imalytics Preclinical uses the GFF format (.gff) by default to load and save underlay, overlay, segmentation, and project files. The file format supports multimodal, time-variant images while utilizing a lossless compression algorithm to reduce file size. Additionally, a rich set of metadata is contained in the header and cryptographic hashing secures reading and writing. If you want to learn more about GFF, please refer to the publication by Yamoah et al.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why switch to Imalytics Preclinical?
+
Imalytics is purpose-built for preclinical imaging researchers, combining GPU-accelerated performance, automated workflows, and AI-powered segmentation in a single integrated platform. Unlike general-purpose tools, Imalytics is continuously developed alongside real research teams — meaning it evolves to meet the demands of modern imaging studies.
What if my team prefers different tools?
+
Imalytics supports interoperability by design. Standard formats like DICOM and NIfTI allow you to exchange data freely with other tools. Our Python extension API lets you integrate Imalytics into custom pipelines within your existing software stack.
Is it worth the time to learn your software?
+
Most researchers are up and running within days. We provide 100+ training videos, comprehensive documentation, a web-based assistant with an internal imaging knowledge base, and hands-on support from our team. We also offer workshops and onboarding sessions tailored to your workflows.
How does your software compare to our current workflow?
+
Teams using Imalytics consistently report faster analysis turnaround, fewer manual steps, and more accurate and reproducible results, especially for high-throughput studies. We're happy to run a side-by-side demonstration on your own data before you commit.
Why pay when there are free tools?
+
Free tools can seem like the obvious choice, but the time spent configuring, scripting, and maintaining them adds up quickly. Imalytics gives you a complete, supported solution that's continuously updated, so your team spends time on research, not troubleshooting. When publication timelines are on the line, that reliability is worth more than the license cost.
What devices is Imalytics compatible with?
+
Imalytics runs on Windows 10/11 (64-bit), Linux (Ubuntu 20.04+) and Mac (Apple silicon chips). An NVIDIA GPU is required for GPU-accelerated features. We recommend a minimum of 16 GB RAM, with 32 GB or more for large multi-subject datasets.
